This weekend’s Snoqualmie Valley summer festival is the Carnation Block Party.

June 21

Snoqualmie Valley half marathon and 10k: Orca Running is hosting half marathon and 10k races on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Both races start outside Fall City and end right outside Carnation at Tolt MacDonald Park. Registration for the 10k is $69 this month or $79 on race day. Registration for the half marathon is $100 this month or $110 on race day. Participants under the age of 22 get 15% off registration fees. Carnation Farms birding workshop, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: All ages are invited to “Bring All the Birds to the Yard,” a workshop to learn about why birds look the way they do. Participants will also learn how to easily identify birds in the wild and how birds help biodiversity. All ages are welcome. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale and can be purchased at carnationfarms.org/events.

North Bend’s Art Off the Rails, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Art Off the Rails, an annual arts festival put on by North Bend Art & Industry, is back at William Henry Taylor Park. Carnation Block Party, 12-9 p.m.: The annual Carnation Block Party is back in downtown Carnation to ring in the Summer Solstice. The event will include food and artisan vendors, family activities, a beer and wine garden and lots of live music. Picnic with alpacas, 12:30-2:30 p.m.: Every weekend through August, Enchanted Farms in Duvall is hosting two-hour group experiences hanging out with their alpacas. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic to enjoy. There will also be opportunities to interact with goats, sheep, rabbits and mini donkeys. Tickets are required for those ages 2 and over and can be purchased at enchantedfarmsduvall.com.

Farm tour & happy hour, 3-5 p.m.: Join Sarah Cassidy, owner of The Grange and Hearth Farm in Duvall, for Slow Food Solstice. Cassidy will take guests on a tour to show how the farm’s fresh fare makes it onto diners’ plates at The Grange. After the tour, there will be a happy hour at The Grange with a farm-fresh cocktail and seasonal bites. Tickets are $39 and can be purchased at thegrangeduvall.com/events.

Outdoor Adventure Jamboree, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Si View Metro Parks is hosting a day of free, kid-centered activities at the Meadowbrook Farm Fields. Activities are hosted by various Snoqualmie Valley organizations, including Hopelink, the Meadowbrook Farm Preservation Association, Soccer Stars, The Line MTB, Wilderness Awareness School and more. Wildfire movie night, 7-9 p.m.: Eastside Fire and Rescue will host a showing of “Living with Fire,” a documentary about changing wildfire conditions in Western Washington, at North Bend Theatre. After the showing, there will be a discussion panel with wildfire experts. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 7 p.m., and the discussion panel will start at 7:45 p.m.

Friday in the garden, 4:30-6:30 p.m.: Every Friday evening through July, join Erika Laureano Design for wine, light bites and a relaxed shopping experience. These events will have special discounts on items in the shop. Registration is required and can be done at erikalaureanodesign.com/events.

Virtual reality Minecraft, 5-8:30 p.m.: North Bend Art & Industry’s Center for Creativity in North Bend will have a class hosted by Don Gronning, owner of Robot U, a robotics enrichment program for kids. Kids ages 6-11 will be able to play from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by those ages 12 and over from 7-8:30 p.m. Registration is $25 per person and can be done at northbendartandindustry.org/all.

Virtual reality painting class, 3-5 p.m.: North Bend Art and Industry’s Center for Creativity in North Bend will have a class hosted by Don Gronning, owner of Robot U, a robotics enrichment program for kids. The class is described as “an incredibly realistic oil painting experience with no mess, no limits and no material costs.” The class is for those ages 18 and over. Registration is $40 per person and can be done at northbendartandindustry.org/all.
