Next up on the Valley’s summer festival list is Fall City Day on June 14.

Featured event: Fall City Day

The annual Fall City Day festival will return with a jam-packed day June 14.

Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast at Olive Taylor Quigley Park at 7:30 a.m., followed by a street fair at 9 a.m., a parade at 11 a.m., a helicopter demo at Fall City Elementary at 12 p.m. and a watermelon-eating contest at 1:30 p.m.

The Fall City Day Run includes a 5k, 10k and 1k kids’ run. The kids’ 1k starts at 9 a.m., and registration is $15. The 5k and 10k start at 9:15 a.m., and registration is $40 and $45, respectively, with available senior discounts. Visit runsignup.com to register.

June 14

CYO Camps 75th anniversary, 4-8 p.m.: Celebrate the 75th anniversary of CYO Camps at Camp Don Bosco in Carnation. CYO Camps are run by the Archdiocese of Seattle. Registration is free, but requested. For more information about the festivities, visit cyo.camp.

June 18

North Bend Meetup Cleanup, 4-5 p.m.: The North Bend Downtown Foundation is having its monthly cleanup event to beautify downtown. The foundation supplies everything needed. Volunteers meet at the North Bend Train Depot.

Bee stewardship and honey tasting workshop, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: The next class at Carnation Farms will be all about bees, in collaboration with REBEL44. Participants will learn all about the vital role of honeybees in the food system and taste fresh Snoqualmie Valley honey. Tickets are $44 per person. June 19

Camlann board game night, 6-10 p.m.: Camlann Medieval Village in Carnation is now hosting board game nights in the Bors Hede every third Thursday of the month. Modern games and some medieval games (with tutors) will be available, but guests are encouraged to bring their own games as well. There will also be a few organized tabletop role playing games available. The Bors Hede will have drinks and a limited dinner menu available for purchase. Registration is free but required and can be done at camlann.org.

June 21

Snoqualmie Valley half marathon and 10k: Orca Running is hosting half marathon and 10k races on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Both races start outside Fall City and end right outside Carnation at Tolt MacDonald Park. Registration for the 10k is $69 this month or $79 on race day. Registration for the half marathon is $100 this month or $110 on race day. Participants under age 22 get 15% off registration fees. The half marathon begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 10k begins at 9 a.m. For more information and to register, visit orcarunning.com/snoqualmie-valley-half.

Carnation Farms birding workshop, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: All ages are invited to “Bring All the Birds to the Yard,” a workshop to learn about why birds look the way they do. Participants will also learn how to easily identify birds in the wild and how birds help biodiversity. All ages are welcome. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale and can be purchased at carnationfarms.org/events.

North Bend’s Art Off the Rails, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Art Off the Rails, an annual arts festival put on by North Bend Art and Industry, is back at William Henry Taylor Park. Carnation Block Party, 12-9 p.m.: The annual Carnation Block Party is back in downtown Carnation to ring in the Summer Solstice. The event will include food and artisan vendors, family activities, a beer and wine garden and lots of live music. There will also be yoga at 10:30 a.m. and a ribbon cutting for the Tolt Triangle at 11:30 a.m. For more information, visit facebook.com/carnationblockparty.

Carnation Farms pork butchery class, 2-6 p.m.: Carnation Farms butcher Thomas Coss will teach guests how to butcher an entire pig with minimal waste and the importance of eating locally. Afterward, guests will enjoy a family-style meal of house charcuterie with Carnation Farms sourdough and dijon, cotechino sausage with potato salad and kalua pork with farm cabbage and sweet rolls. Tickets are $300 per person and can be purchased at carnationfarms.org/events.
