Catch a showing of ‘Rainier: A Beer Odyssey,’ at North Bend Theatre

Jan. 24-26

“Rainier: A Beer Odyssey” — The North Bend Theatre is showing “Rainier: A Beer Odyssey,” a 2024 documentary about the iconic Rainier Beer commercials from the 1970s and 1980s, produced by a boutique Seattle ad agency. Attendees can enjoy an ice cold Rainier beer while they watch. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for youth ages 3-11 and $9 for military and seniors. Purchase at northbendtheatre.com.

Jan. 25

North Bend Pub Crawl, 5-9 p.m. — The North Bend Downtown Foundation is partnering with Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank for a Saturday night fever-themed pub crawl. Participants are invited to wear disco-themed attire for the crawl, which includes eight stops. Those who register will get exclusive food and drink specials throughout the evening. All registration proceeds will benefit the food bank. Bring your donation receipt to the Hartwood Café from 4:30-7 p.m. on Jan. 25 to collect your event bracelet. Jan. 28

Duvall City Council chat, 6-7 p.m. — Members of Duvall City Council will be at the Big Rock Road Starbucks to chat with community members. All are welcome.

Jan. 29

Meet up with Mayor Mary Miller, 4-5 p.m. — Meet North Bend Mayor Mary Miller at The Trail Youth Coffee Home. Community members are invited to ask the mayor questions, while enjoying drinks and baked goods available to purchase from the coffee shop.

Jan. 30

North Bend Beer Runners at Snoqualmie Falls Brewery 6-9 p.m. — The North Bend Beer Runners will run/walk the Meadowbrook route starting at 6 p.m., ending the evening with drinks at Snoqualmie Falls Brewery. The club meets every Thursday. All levels of runners — and walkers — are welcome.

Jan. 31

Dru Bru ski & snowboard competition, 3-10 p.m. — Dru Bru at Snoqualmie Pass is hosting its first ever Rail Jam freestyle ski and snowboard competition. Dru Bru will bring snow and park features to the brewery’s parking lot for participants to show off their tricks. Warmups are at 3 p.m.; competition is at 5 p.m.; awards are at 7:30 p.m.; live music by the Passholes will be from 8-10 p.m. The event is free to watch, and food and drinks will be available to purchase. Participants must be age 18 or older. Registration is $35 and can be done at drubru.com/brewery-events/rail-jam.

Feb. 5

Free youth heart screenings 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. — The Nick of Time Foundation, along with the University of Washington Center for Sports Cardiology, will be providing free heart screenings in the Mount Si High School gym. The foundation’s mission is to prevent cardiac arrest in children and young adults. The event is open to all pre-registered participants from ages 12-24. Register through mshs.svsd410.org.
