THING Festival weekend one: The annual THING Festival, presented by Seattle Theatre Group at Remlinger Farms, will span three Saturdays in August this year, each with a different music line-up. Tickets are $129.50 all-in, including fees, for one weekend. Tickets include seven performances, free parking, admission to the Remlinger Farms fun park, dance workshops, access to a makers market and access to concessions. Kids 12 and under get in free. U-pick sunflowers, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: It’s opening day of the 2025 u-pick sunflower season at Sunflower Sisters in North Bend. Fill a cup with sunflower stems for $25 or buy two cups for $45. If you don’t plan to pick, an entrance fee of $10 per person will be collected. Located at 702 Bendigo Blvd. S. Event is not for professional photographers.
Rainbow River Ride, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Rainbow Rec Sports of Seattle is hosting a LGBTQ+ float on the Snoqualmie River. Tickets can be purchased through fallcityfloating.com. It is also requested that attendees RSVP through forms.gle/xF4tqH3w5yajkER36.
Duvall Music Crawll, 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.: The Duvall Music Crawll, each Saturday in August, takes concertgoers to four different locations, each with different performances. The crawl starts at Grateful Bread from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and continues at McCormick Park from 1-4 p.m., The Grange from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Duvall Tavern from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Summit at Snoqualmie concert, 3:30-5:30 p.m.: Join The Summit at Snoqualmie every Saturday through August for live music in the Summit West plaza. Seattle band Birch Pereira and The Gin Joints will perform Aug. 2. The band performs Americana, swing and rock ‘n’ roll revival.
Music & dancing with The Outmodes, 5 p.m.: Lavender at Stillwater-Misty Valley Farm will have dancing and live music by The Outmodes. Handmade pizzas, charcuterie, sweets and beverages will be available for purchase. The farm opens at 3 p.m. Purchase $5 tickets at carnationwa.gov/event/just-dance-w-the-outmodes.

Duvall history summer camp: Join Hillside Academy and the Duvall Historical Society in a five-day summer camp, The Wonder of Duvall. Attendees will weave baskets like early homesteaders, make instruments and form a jug band, explore logging and farming tools, learn how the railroad shaped Duvall, study local folk artists and take two walking field trips to explore real places from the past. Pizza making youth event, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Empower Youth Network is hosting a free event for youth to learn to make pizza at Carnation Farms. Attendees will be able to make their own personal pizzas. Gluten free options will be available; email maya@empoweryouthnetwork.org to request. Event is for youth in middle or high school.

Community ice skating, 6-8 p.m.: Sno-King Ice Arenas is partnering with the city of Snoqualmie and SnoValley Chamber of Commerce to host Frozen Fun Fest at Sno-King Ice Arena in Snoqualmie. The event includes free skating and skate rentals, music, games, photo opportunities and refreshments.
Aug. 9
Oxbow Farm restoration work party, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation is hosting another restoration work party. Volunteers can help plant native species, remove invasive plants and promote resilient landscapes. Registration is required and can be done by filling out a volunteer application at oxbow.org.
SummerStage 25th anniversary, 1-8:45 p.m.: Celebrate 25 years of Duvall’s SummerStage concert series at McCormick Park. Line-up includes Elizabeth Hill and the Valley Folk, Stephanie Anne Johnson, Drew Martin, SWAY and Austin Jenckes.
