The American Automobile Association has named Snoqualmie Falls among the top six best road trip in the Puget Sound area.

AAA Washington’s Puget Sound-area Auto Travel counselors, who help thousands of members plan road trips, listed its top 10 trips that can be done in a day.

Snoqualmie Falls was number 6.

Ranking above the Falls was, at number one, Mount Rainier, followed by Leavenworth, Wash., downtown Seattle, Mount St. Helens and Whidbey Island. Below the Falls were the San Juan Islands, Olympic Penimnsual, Olympia and La Conner, Wash.

According to the AAA, road trips can be an affordable option to summer vacation, especially with the abundance of travel bargains out there right now and gas prices holding steady.
