SnoValley Tilth sets up a way for people to explore local food and fiber production, complete with a dinner featuring produce from area farms. The annual SnoValley Tilth Farm Tours and Farm Faire take place on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The tour is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes eight farms in the Valley. As the tour ends, the Farm Faire will begin at Jubilee Farm with a country picnic, live music, and family farm games and activities from 3 to 7 p.m.

Eight SnoValley Tilth member farms are opening their fields in the Snoqualmie Valley to visitors during this year’s tour. This event is an unmatchable opportunity for consumers to experience directly where and how local food and fiber are grown. Visitors will find guided tours of farm fields, activities for children, produce and farm products for sale, farm animals, information about selecting, storing, and growing food, and time to talk to farmers directly in their “native” habitat. The Farm Faire includes a country picnic dinner with produce from local farms and slow-roasted pork. The evening is rounded out with live music from Ask Sophie, a no-host bar, and farm activities including crafts, games, and pony rides. Tickets to the Faire are $25 at the door.
