The social is just one of many community events that take place at the store throughout the year. Tyler Myers, president of The Myers Group that owns and operates The Ridge Supermarket IGA, attributes much of the store’s success year-over-year to weekly store events like this that bring the community together.

While many larger chain grocers use their marketing to promote “loss leaders,” the independent stores managed by The Myers Group promote added value for the customer and the community in addition to sale items. The events are gaining traction and customers are now asking what is next.
