Residents invited to celebrate summer at North Bend Block Party Saturday, Legends Car Show Sunday

Join the fun at North Bend’s biggest party, the 9th Annual Downtown North Bend Block Party Saturday, July 22, and the Legends Classic Car Show Sunday, July 23, both on on North Bend Way, between Bendigo Boulevard and Ballarat Avenue.

The 2017 Block Party will feature live entertainment including performances of Spike and the Impalers and Heart to Heart, The Mysterious Fatmen, Kellee Bradley Band, Ignite Dance, Blues Illusion, Cascade Dance, Eastside Jam, Lights Out, Locomotive, DMW Martial Arts, Mount Si High School Dance, Contraband and Michele McNany.

There are also plenty of children’s activities, including the ever-popular petting zoo and bounce houses, plus a Gaga Ball Pit at the Si View Metropolitan Park District booth, and a chance to tie-dye your own T-shirts at Chaplin’s.

The festival will also feature two beer gardens this year.

The live entertainment starts on both stages at noon, with a family- and community-centered lineup including local musicians, dancers and martial artists, rounded out by perennial crowd pleasers Spike and the Impalers at 7:45 p.m. and Heart by Heart at 9:15 p.m.

Sunday brings the second North Bend Block Party Legends Car Show, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along North Bend Way, from Bendigo through Ballarat. The day will include fun and games for all ages, 21 divisions for trophies, raffle and prize drawings.
