Between now and Sept. 30, Poetry on Buses will accept poetry submissions, no longer than 50 words, on the subject of water. Submissions will be accepted in eight languages. Every King County resident can submit one poem for consideration by the selection panel.

Poetry on Buses began in 1992 as a partnership between 4Culture and King County Metro Transit to present poetry by local community members on buses. It was rebooted in 2014 with to include workshops in multiple languages and an online poetry portal.

“Poetry on Buses: Your Body of Water” is sponsored by 4Culture in partnership with the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Sound Transit, King County Metro, King County Wastewater Treatment Division, King County Water and Land Resources Divisions, and Seattle Public Utilities.
