Patterson, Read, graduate St. Olaf’s College

St. Olaf College held its 128th commencement ceremony, May 28, awarding diplomas to two Snoqualmie Valley students.

Erika Patterson of Carnation earned a degree in psychology. Her parents are Jay and Paula Patterson

Lexie Read of Snoqualmie graduated cum laude, with a degree in English. Her parents are Shone and Sandra Read.

Declan Mallady, a fifth-grader from Snoqualmie Elementary School, won the Regional Spelling Bee of King and Snohomish County on March 30, outspelling 73 competitors. The win qualifies Mallady for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this May.
