The Snoqualmie Arts Commission is holding the first annual Snoqualmie Plein Air Paint Out on Sunday, August 23.

Plein air painting refers to the practice of painting an entire finished picture out of doors.

Painters of all media will be actively creating works of art throughout the city in locations such as Railroad Park in downtown Snoqualmie, Snoqualmie Falls Park, Snoqualmie Ridge, among others.

Artists are encouraged to register now. The fee is $20 for the day. No business license will be required and commissions will not be taken from paintings sold. The requirement is that painters be actively working on-site and not solely selling art pieces. For information, e-mail to jeffrey.waters@comcast.net.
