North Bend residents did their city proud over the weekend as hundreds of people turned out for the annual Downtown Block Party.

Children filled the petting zoo and eagerly partook of paintball, rock climbing and laser tag throughout the day. A few brave adults competed in the fitness challenge race, while others demonstrated their fitness by dancing to the live music or chasing their children.

The afternoon featured a two- and four-legged fashion show, with human and dogs modeling clothing from local businesses. Other activities included a martial arts demonstration, a skills exercise by the King County Search and Rescue K-9 unit, and, closing out a full day Saturday, a show with Spike and the Impalers, followed by Heart by Heart.

All day Sunday, downtown North Bend played host to the activities of the Legends Car Club classic car show.
