Start to get ready for spring vegetable gardening with a presentation on vegetables and tomatoes from Master Gardener Pat Roome, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at North Bend Library.

Roome will discuss soil preparation, what to grow and when to plant vegetables from seeds or transplants and how to avoid pests so you can harvest from late spring through fall. She has been a master gardener for over 42 years and her gardening talks are always very popular.

Roome will give another presentation on this topic, 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18th at Sammamish Beaver Lake Lodge.
