Sean Sundwall, the Snoqualmie man who organized this summer’s successful run at Snoqualmie Days, has put together another race for Valley residents, and this one will help local youth.

The “Snoqualmie Ridge Turkey Trot” will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, with the run starting at 9 a.m. There are two separate races: a 5k race and a 1k fun run for elementary school-age children and their parents. Both races will start and finish at Cascade View Elementary School on the Ridge, and following the conclusion of the event, there will be a pancake feed.

Pre-registration for the 5k is $10, and the cost to enter the 1k is $5. Participants who register the day of the race will pay an additional $5 on top of the pre-registration fee. The fees include free admission to the breakfast and for the 1k runners, a T-shirt as well. All pre-registration fees will benefit the Cascade View and Snoqualmie Elementary PTA, helping local students.

More information on the race, breakfast, and registration materials are available at the race Web site, www.runsnoqualmie.com.

Pre-registration ends Friday, Nov. 7 for in-person sign-ups and Nov. 9 for online sign-ups.

In-person registration can be done at either Cascade View or Snoqualmie elementaries, or at the Issaquah FootZone store.
