Enjoy traditional Irish tunes from a master performer, Danny O’Mahony, 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Duvall Depot, 26227 N.E. Stephens St.

Surrounded by musicians growing up in Ballyduff, in North County Kerry, O’Mahony earned a master’s degree in performance from the University of Limerick and, in 2013, was awarded Top Button Accordionist (US, IRE, EU, UK) by the Irish Music Association in America. He performs with fresh perspective and lively energy while staying true to well-loved traditional tunes.

O’Mahony performs and teaches at Irish music festivals and schools across the globe as a solo artist and collaborates with other notable musicians including the Shannon Vale Céilí Band. He has performed at Áras an Uachtaráin for President Michael D. Higgins on St. Patrick’s Day, and produces ‘Trip to the Cottage,’ a popular weekly radio program on Radio Kerry (www.radiokerry.ie), with followers worldwide.
