Tutors needed

for Study Zone

The Study Zone programs at the Snoqualmie and North Bend libraries are seeking dedicated tutors to help elementary, middle school and high school students with their homework.

Study Zones are offered as a free service to students in libraries throughout King County. Tutors provide help in all subject areas, working with one to five students in a group setting.

Study Zone volunteers commit to two hours a week for one semester. Most tutors are professional and retired adults.

Applicants who are still in high school should be at least 16 years old and a junior or senior, and will need a teacher or school representative to sign their application form as a third reference. Study Zone tutors must be able to pass a Washington State Patrol Background Check.

Study Zone applications are at the library or www.kcls.org/studyzone/studyzone_volunteer.cfm. For more information, visit a local library or call Annie Holloman at (425) 369-3312.
