Snoqualmie Valley harpist Cynthia Kuni is beginning a monthly appearance at The Black Dog cafe to raise money for animal rescue.

Starting on Sunday, Sept. 8, Kuni will play for brunch, 10:30 a.m. to noon on the second Sunday of each month. Proceeds go to Pasado’s Safe Haven.

Pasado’s Safe Haven is a non-profit animal rescue and sanctuary located in Snohomish County. The sanctuary was founded in honor of a donkey named Pasado who was fatally beaten in 1992.

“The Black Dog is a wonderful atmosphere for the harp,” says Kuni, who has been performing on harp throughout the Puget Sound area since 1985. “ I feel very privileged to begin performing there on a regular basis to benefit Pasado’s animal rescue efforts.”
