A new family-friendly tradition is starting on Saturday, Nov. 5. Families are encouraged to explore the Snoqualmie Valley in the Great Snoqualmie Valley Treasure Hunt, then post their scavenger hunt success stories on Facebook to win prizes from local merchants.

Starting at 9 a.m. the day of the hunt, the Savor Snoqualmie Valley Facebook page, www.facebook.com/savorsnoqualmievalley, will post a list of 10 items to find.

To participate, you must find each item on the list. Items can be found in any community in the Valley. Then, take a photo of the item, and another of the place you found it. Upload all 20 photos in a Facebook album and include the hashtag #SavorSnoqualmieLocal.

Prizes include gift certificates to restaurants, and merchandise packages. Everyone who completes the hunt will be entered into a raffle.
