Free women’s self defense course offered at Snoqualmie Fire Station,

The Snoqualmie Police Department, in partnership with the Normandy Park Police Department, is offering a free women’s self defense course for Snoqualmie residents over 18 years of age. The course is taught using the nationally-recognized Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD) by certified instructors.

The Snoqualmie Police Department, in partnership with the Normandy Park Police Department, is offering a free women’s self defense course for Snoqualmie residents over 18 years of age. The course is taught using the nationally-recognized Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD) by certified instructors.

The RAD system is a detailed and comprehensive course for women. It begins with crime prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance and progresses to the basics of hands-on self defense. This program is dedicated to teaching defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault by using easy, effective, and proven self defense tactics.

This is a four-week class. Participants must attend all four sessions.

• Monday, September 17, 6-9 p.m.

• Wednesday, September 19, 6-9 p.m.

• Monday, September 24, 6-9 p.m.

• Wednesday, September 26, 6-9 p.m.

All sessions will be held at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway. Athletic attire is recommended including cross-training shoes that provide lateral support. Participants should bring drinking water.
