Meet author Langdon Cook for “Fat of the Land: Adventures of a 21st Century Forager,” 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Carnation Library.

Take a seasonal tour through a year of wild foods in the Pacific Northwest as Cook shares images of wild greens, mushrooms, berries and shellfish and the delicious meals he makes.

Learn about the many different species, their habitats and how to find them. Come at 6 p.m. for a demonstration by Heidi Bohan at the Carnation Farmer’s Market, one block east of Highway 203/Tolt Avenue on Bird Street.
