Empower Youth Network’s Heart of the Valley Gala on April 22 at Snoqualmie Casino was a great evening in support of our valley youth. Total gross proceeds from the event and online auction were $290,000 – the organization’s best gala yet.

Auctioneer Matt Lorch and emcee Garrett Brown led a fun-filled gala evening with the sell-out crowd of 300 attendees.

Empower Youth Network (EYN) is a Carnation-based nonprofit that promotes and inspires youth to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives with the vision of building better futures for youth. Executive Director Laura Smith opened the evening with comments about the mission of EYN

“At Empower Youth Network, we emphasize the importance of social and emotional learning, which helps youth develop the skills they need to navigate challenges and build healthy relationships. By creating a safe and supportive environment where youth explore their interests and strengths, these programs empower youth to become leaders in their communities and to make positive change,” she said.

Proceeds from this event support EYN’s key youth development programs in the Snoqualmie Valley. These programs include Youth Suicide and Substance Use Prevention, Youth Success! Mentoring, Weekend Power Packs, Pathways to Employment Success, and Youth Engagement. Next year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 4
