The forecast for Father’s Day Weekend June 18 and 19 promises weather that’s sunny and warm—perfect for a family outing in the Cascade foothills, enjoying the Dad’s Day Barbecue in historic downtown Snoqualmie. Hosted by local merchants in conjunction with the Northwest Railway Museum, downtown Snoqualmie’s celebration for dads features a scenic steam train excursion and festivities in historic downtown Snoqualmie.
Steam train trips between North Bend and Snoqualmie take about 70 minutes and include travel to the top of Snoqualmie Falls. Dads ride free when accompanied by a paying child of any age during Father’s Day weekend. Trains depart every 90 minutes between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. from the Snoqualmie Depot at 38625 S.E. King Street and the North Bend Depot at 205 McClellan Street.
Shops and cafes participating in the weekend event are conveniently located across the street from the Snoqualmie Depot. The celebration includes free barbecue sauce tastings, beer brewing lessons, a dessert and chocolate tasting, father-daughter art exhibit and children’s arts activities.
