Deck the Falls: Tree lighting, holiday teas happening at Snoqualmie’s Salish Lodge and Spa

Celebrate the season at the Salish Lodge and Spa at Snoqualmie Falls with several special, seasonal events. The lodge hosts a tree lighting ceremony, 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1. Join the Snoqualmie community for the lighting of The lodge’s 20-foot tree while enjoying live entertainment, hot chocolate and holiday cookies, as well as special discounts for holiday shopping in the spa, the country store and the Falls Gift Shop. Reservations are not required.

The Salish holiday tea is offered from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 1 to 23; and every day, Dec. 26 to 30. The dining room will serve a traditional holiday tea complete with a delicious menu of house-made treats featuring Salish honey, such as scones with fruit preserves and Devonshire cream, gourmet tea sandwiches and petite pastries from the culinary team. Ten percent of proceeds will benefit the College Success Foundation. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1.800.2.SALISH.

The lodge also has festive holiday menus for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, that pair Northwest cuisine and selections from the wine list. Christmas dinner, offered Tuesday, Dec. 25, provides an exclusive four-course menu while the New Year’s Eve celebration on Monday, Dec. 31, offers a sparkling wine welcome and five-course menu followed by live music and dancing. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1.800.2.SALISH.

Guests can visit the Spa at Salish Lodge for a variety of seasonal spa treatments. Choose the Cinnamon and Spice Body Scrub for perfectly polished and hydrated skin, the Cinnamon Spice Massage for a festive rejuvenation or the Cinnamon and Spice Holiday Manicure and Pedicure to get hands and feet holiday ready, and 10 percent of all proceeds will be donated to the College Success Foundation. Or, forgo the madness of the mall and book the holiday breakfast in bed package complete with a favorite movie, wood-burning fireplace, jetted tub-for-two, and leisurely breakfast in bed the next morning. The package also includes a credit to the country store for holiday shopping.
