Contra Dancing is fun and appropriate for all genders and ages and is for the whole extended family. Contra Dancing is like Square Dancing but more accessible. Sometimes the dancers get the steps right, sometimes they get them wrong, but they are always laughing. The camaraderie among the dancers is surprising, much like strangers who have been anonymously thrown together in this confusing situation, helping each other and laughing with glee that they are succeeding, or failing, but surviving.
