“Licensing your pets is one of the most important things you can do as a pet owner,” said Metropolitan King County Councilmember Dunn, who partnered with RASKC to present the 2015 list.

“Licensing your pet not only helps to protect your pet if it ever becomes lost, it also helps fund the life-saving work of Regional Animal Services of King County.”

Licensed pets, if lost, can be reunited quickly with their owners, and even get a free ride home from the shelter.

License fees not only support the return of hundreds of lost pets to their homes but they also help thousands of homeless pets to new families every year. Pet license fees also fund investigation of animal neglect or cruelty, spay/neuter programs to reduce pet over-population, and community education services.

RASKC services are made possible with the help of over 450 volunteers.

“Our whole region benefits when pets are licensed,” said RASKC manager Gene Mueller. “Licensed pets are returned home more quickly, and licensing supports the work that we do at Regional Animal Services to improve the lives of people and pets throughout King County.”

If you live in the Snoqualmie Valley, you can pick up a pet license at North Bend, Snoqualmie, Carnation or Duvall City Hall, at the Sno-Falls License Agency and the North Bend QFC.

There are more than 300 locations for licenses countywide.
