Cooking up comedy: One-woman show combines food, song and humor

Cabaret artist Kristin Van Bodegraven offers a frank and funny take on food, money and love in her one-woman show, “And I Can Cook Too,” 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, at Valley Center Stage.

Van Bodegraven brings an interactive gastronomic experience. Her buttery voice guides spectators through her colorful life, using a passion for food as punctuation. Preparing a gourmet meal live on stage, Van Bodegraven simultaneously gulps wine, croons out jazz and flirts with her favorites in the audience. Expect a sample of the culinary delights by night’s end.

Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $10 for seniors. Please note, this show is suited for an audience over 18.
