Christmas in Carnation kicks off the holidays Saturday

Carnation kicks off the holidays with a series of events throughout the day Saturday, Dec. 3.

The celebration starts with Breakfast with Santa, 9 to 11 a.m. at Carnation Farm, 28901 N.E. Carnation Farm Road. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 10 and under, for a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage and drinks. Guests will also have an opportunity to take professional photos with Santa for an additional charge.

After breakfast, visit the shops in Carnation, and then head over to Tolt Commons for the Christmas in Carnation festivities which start at 4 p.m. with wagon rides. There will also be live entertainment from Jack Ballard, Tolt and Cedarcrest choirs, the Cedarcrest band, and the Tolt Congregational Church Choir. The tree-lighting is at 5 p.m., followed by a parade and the arrival of Santa at 5:15 p.m.

Following the lighting events, many local businesses are participating in a progressive dinner for shoppers.

All events are free to the community.
