Calling all science champions: Nominees sought for education awards

Do you know someone who works tirelessly for the improvement of schools in our state? Or perhaps an advocate for science education? If so, then now is the time to give them recognition for a job well done.

Do you know someone who works tirelessly for the improvement of schools in our state? Or perhaps an advocate for science education? If so, then now is the time to give them recognition for a job well done.

Nominations are now being accepted for Science Champions, the fourth annual Science Education Advocate Awards. With support from the Boeing Company, this award recognizes outstanding individuals, organizations and project teams who have exhibited exceptional support and advocacy for science education in Washington. Deadline to apply is Jan. 20, 2010.

The awards are presented to five individuals, organizations or project teams who have exhibited outstanding advocacy for science education in the state of Washington by promoting the importance of science education among the general public or the education system.
