Air Force band to play at CKMS Patriotic sounds come to town

Solaris, the United States Air Force Academy Band’s Chamber ensemble, will perform a free public concert, 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City.

Solaris, the United States Air Force Academy Band’s Chamber ensemble, will perform a free public concert, 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City.

The concert is part of free performances in the area during the week of Veteran’s Day, and is sponsored by Fall City Arts.

Tickets are not necessary, but if the concert is full, holding one guarantees a seat. They are being distributed by Fall City Arts and will be available at Video Nites.

Doors open to ticket holders at 5:30 p.m. and to the general public at 5:45 p.m.

Solaris is a chamber music ensemble of active-duty professional Air Force musicians. Solaris features three clarinetists and drum set specialist Chief Master Sergeant Scott Barbier. They perform a variety of music, from patriotic pieces to movie favorites. Audience members may be invited to participate in the concert.
