Where’s ‘Past Time’?

Array

I DO like the smaller size, but don’t take away the ‘Past Time’ from us older folks who are far away from “home” — please, for those of us who lived in the Valley so long. I went through the edition three times, so don’t think I missed them. I pass my paper along to another older couple from Duvall.

I lived in the valley from 1949 to 2000. I retired from the Weyerhaeuser Company, after working 46 years, in 1997. I wanted to make 50 years, but they cleaned out a few old ladies! That was fine. We had friends down here who regaled us about Southern Arizona, so we took a look a couple of times. We sold our home in North Bend, making the move in June of 2000. The two months of monsoons are something I could do without, but the rain is a necessary thing. I miss my family and friends, but have a lot of visitors.

My brother was Dick Zemp, who developed the mall at the South Fork interchange. Sadly, he passed away at age 65 in 2003. A side note, I really hope the Wyrsch family gets to build the motel. It is needed.
