Thanks for a great race

I am writing to offer my deepest thanks to Sean Sundwall. Sean is the organizer behind the recently completed Railroad Days Fun Run as well as other five- and 10-kilometer races in the Valley.

I am writing to offer my deepest thanks to Sean Sundwall. Sean is the organizer behind the recently completed Railroad Days Fun Run as well as other five- and 10-kilometer races in the Valley. For each of the races he organizes, Sean designates a group as beneficiary for that race and he then donates the proceeds from the race to that group. For the recently run Railroad Days Race, Sean designated the Mount Si track team — both boys and girls teams — as the beneficiary. With the funds he was able to provide to us, we will be able to significantly upgrade our uniforms and equipment. This kind of support during such difficult financial times for public schools, and indeed for all of us, is truly a blessing.

I want to thank Sean for his generosity in supporting our track team specifically and also for promoting the sport of track and field in general. It takes an enormous amount of work and passion to put on these races. I also would like to encourage all of you who are runners, or even walkers, no matter your skill level, to participate in the various events Sean organizes since a large portion of your entry fee will go towards supporting deserving groups here in our own community.

Thank you, Sean.
