I have just finished paying my 2017 property tax, and am concerned about how large it has become. We need to be more critical about how our tax dollars are being spent.

I believe that Joel Aune is doing a great job as our school superintendent. However, I cannot believe that the position of SVSD school superintendent should have an annual salary as high as $213,000.

Perhaps others agree with me.
