Reichert has double standard on corporations, people | Letter

It seems that Congressman Dave Reichert has a double standard. He will not accept messages from people living outside his gerrymandered district, but has no qualms about receiving over $1.5 million in campaign contributions from over 1,500 business and individuals. Many of these contributors are from outside his district or from out of state.

For shame!

Republicans push the concept that corporations are people. They will take corporate donations, but don’t hear concerns of flesh and blood human beings. We are all Americans, regardless of what district we live in.

This hypocrisy is why people have become so disenchanted and cynical about our political system.

If Mr. Reichert decides to run again (which I hope he doesn’t), I’ll make a donation to his challenger — and I live out of his district!
