Gandhi said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
Right now, in factory farms across Washington, millions of egg-laying chickens are crammed so tightly into their cages that they literally cannot turn around or spread their wings. They spend their entire lives in these conditions.
A petition campaign in Washington state called “Yes on 1130” seeks to put a measure on the November ballot which will, if voted in, increase cage sizes for these poor birds. If you care about the humane treatment of animals, please sign one of these petitions. It takes no money, and very little effort to make a difference. Read more at http://yeson1130.com.
