A group of teenagers from North Bend have started a new stage production group called Theatre ‘Round the Bend that will be holding tryouts for its upcoming musical.

The storyline of the musical, which will feature original music, tracks two teenagers who struggle with the issue of running away. They run away to leave their problems behind, but find that running away has its own problems.

This original production, written by the Theatre ‘Round the Bend players, has two acts and 13 original songs. The musical will be presented in April, 2006. There are 15 speaking and singing parts in this production, including the ensemble, for ages 8-20. A live orchestra is also part of the production. Tryouts will be held Friday, Sept. 30, from noon-5 p.m. Call-back auditions will take place Oct. 7. Rehearsals for acting roles are scheduled for Fridays from 2-5 p.m. through the end of December. Orchestral tryouts will be held later in 2005.
