Snoqualmie Valley Women in Business will host an after-hours event, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Wildflower Wine Shop, in North Bend. This is a social event, no registration necessary.

The following week, the group’s monthly luncheon will feature guest speaker Jenni Butz, on “Communication: Minimizing Conundrums and Maximizing Connection.”

This discussion focuses on elements of communication that minimize misunderstandings, while encouraging individuals to speak truthfully with respect and confidence.

Whatever your role in the work world, there are always challenges in communicating clearly and respectfully, with colleagues, employees, volunteers, clients or patients. Examining internal motivations, speaking from conviction and having a balanced perspective are all crucial to the success of a team.
