Longtime Valley businessman Jim Westlake, prior co-owner of Frankie’s Pizza in North Bend, is going in another direction on his road of business entrepreneurship.
The Lost Mitten, a new business catering to the cost-conscious new parent, has opened its doors in North Bend at 209 Main Ave. South, Suite 116, across from the old post office, or currently Mount Si Dental and in the same suite that N.W. Mail and More used to be.

The Railroad Building, built by Issaquah-based developer Voyislav Kokeza, should be finished early this year. Though construction was delayed early last year, the crew had good weather throughout the summer and is now ahead of schedule. Once completed, the building will have 10,000 square feet available for office and retail space that can be divided to specifications. There will be wheelchair access from entrances on both Railroad Avenue and Falls Avenue. No one has signed a lease yet but Kokeza said there has been interest in the building.
SNOQUALMIE – The 40 employees at Nuprecon’s headquarters are beginning to settle into their new location at the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park, from which they will continue their efforts to make the company a nationwide leader in demolition services.

Nuprecon Inc., the leading full-service demolition contractor in the Pacific Northwest that is located in Snoqualmie, promoted Larry Stumpf to division manager of its hazardous material abatement division, Environmental Waste Resources (EWR). The promotion became official on Dec. 3.
