Day Care at 318 E. Park St. in North Bend, has announced the sale of the

business. Mark and Ruth Granberg will become the new owners at the end of

February.

The Children’s Center has cared for hundreds of Valley children

between 2 and 11 years of age over the last 15 years. It has operated out of

its Park Street location for the past 11 years.

“We started out as a family day care home in 1985 in the Silver

Creek area of North Bend,” Morical said. “For the last three years, we’ve

been caring exclusively for children in kindergarten through fifth-grade.

“Ruth has an extensive background in childcare,” Morical

continued. “In 1985 she also began providing early childhood education

training.

“Since then Ruth has been a teacher for toddlers and

preschoolers. She has been a nanny and, for the

last seven years, has owned and operated her own daycare in Seattle.”

Mark Granberg is the head golf pro at the TPC-Snoqualmie Ridge

golf course. He has an extensive operational, managerial and

accounting background.

“Mark’s expertise is very similar to mine, as Ruth’s experience is

to Linda’s,” said Gary Morical, co-owner and administrator of The

Children’s Center. “We could not have found

better people to continue providing daycare services to our

school-aged children.

“Linda and I know our children and their parents will be very

pleased with Mark and Ruth.”

Following the sale the Moricals intend to move to Richmond,

British Columbia, where most of their family live. The Granbergs and their

children will move into the family living quarters above the daycare center. For
