Basking in the glow of recognition

North Bend resident Bev Jorgensen, a unit leader for home-party sales company Party Lite, is the fourth person ever to receive the company’s Illumina award.

Jorgensen was honored at the Party Lite national conference held in Houston, Texas, July 25-28.

“It was very humbling, very overwhelming,” Jorgensen said. “There was probably seven or eight thousand people there.”

Besides the Illumina award, fellow independent salespeople and leaders chose to reward Jorgensen by giving her home a complete yard makeover, including a new deck. Now, she can hold Party Lite candle parties and entertain in new surroundings.

“I’m more into giving than receiving,” Jorgensen said. “So it’s been a little diferent for me to take all this. But I love it.

“I got to meet an incredible amount of people,” she said. “I was able to touch a lot of people, and I felt touched by a lot of people.”

Jorgensen started working with Party Lite six years ago, as a single mom with three sons.

“Making my decision to do Party Lite was probably the best decision I’ve made for my family and myself financially, and support wise,” she said.
