Oct. 3

Snoqualmie Valley history session, 7-9 p.m.: Join the Snoqualmie Valley Museum every other Friday this fall to learn more about the history of the Snoqualmie Valley. The Oct. 3 session is about colonization. Sessions take place at Encompass Child Development Center.

Spooky queer open mic night, 7:30 p.m.: Hosted by Duella D’vil at Black Dog Arts Cafe, an evening of music, poetry, comedy, drag, visual arts and more. Each performer gets 10-15 minutes of stage time. Performer sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 3-26

Novelty Hill Farm fall festival, 5-8 p.m.: Visit Novelty Hill Farm in Duvall every weekend through Oct. 26 for fall fun. Activities include pumpkin picking, a corn maze, farm critters, a trike track, a makers market and fall treats.

Oct. 4

Love Snoqualmie Valley volunteer event, 9-3 p.m.: Love Snoqualmie Valley is a local nonprofit with a mission to unify the Snoqualmie Valley by serving side by side with other organizations through volunteer opportunities. Each year, the nonprofit hosts an annual volunteer day with several projects across the Valley. Volunteering is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a celebration from 12-3 p.m. at Aroma Coffee Co. in Fall City. To sign up for a project, visit lovesnoqualmievalley.com.

Summit at Snoqualmie Roktoberfest, 5:30-10 p.m.: Join The Summit at Snoqualmie for an evening of Bavarian bites and brews, live music, a costume contest and more. North Bend Blues Walk, 6 p.m. to midnight: JazzClubsNW is hosting its North Bend Blues Walk, with 18 venues and 22 bands. Presale tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for students. Oct. 7

Snoqualmie Valley Candidate Forum, 6-8 p.m.: Join the SnoValley Chamber of Commerce for a forum with state, county and local city candidates. Guests will have a chance to meet the candidates, hear their vision and ask questions before November’s election. Event is free and is at North Bend Theatre.

Oct. 9

Winemaker’s dinner, 6-8 p.m.: Join Alveare Winery for a six-course, wine-paired dinner around one table. There will be special pre-releases, including Alveare’s Grenache Blanc and Reserve Cabernet, alongside dishes from True Vine Catering, who cook everything from scratch with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Oct. 11

Carnation Farms Harvest Market, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Carnation Farms is hosting its annual harvest market in its historic Hippodrome. Enjoy hot food and drinks from the farm’s culinary team, take a history tour around the main grounds with the archivist and pick up goods from local artisan vendors. Admission is free. Pets are not allowed.

Oxbow Farm restoration work party, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation is hosting another restoration work party. Volunteers can help plant native species, remove invasive plants and promote resilient landscapes. Registration is required and can be done by filling out a volunteer application at oxbow.org.

Community Art Day, 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.: Join Northwest Art Center in Duvall for a day of family art projects. Expert guidance will be available. All ages are welcome; parental supervision required for kids ages 14 and under.

Oct. 11-26

Halloween train rides: Join the Northwest Railway Museum for an autumn celebration featuring slightly spooky fun including hot cider, cider press demonstrations, live music, hands-on apple coring and other seasonal activities. Costumes encouraged for visitors of all ages. North Bend departures are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Snoqualmie departures are at 11:00 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $16-32 and can be purchased at trainmuseum.org/SelectEvent.aspx?eventid=1000076.
