A temporary art installation has made its home along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail.

The first annual Art in Nature Walk lies on the section of trail between Entwistle Street and the Tolt River in Carnation. The installation, produced by the Lee Arts Foundation, includes more than 50 pieces created by emerging Snoqualmie Valley artists. All of the art was made on cedar rounds and hung on large maple trees along the trail.

The artwork is for sale on the foundation’s online gallery, and all proceeds go to the artists. Those interested in purchasing a piece must place a bid, which can be done until 11:59 p.m. Sept. 1. Winning bidders can pick up their art from Sept. 2-6 in Carnation.

The installation is located close to Entwistle Street and the parking lot at Nick Loutsis Park, making it easily accessible for many while it is up through Sept. 1.

“We’re hoping this can become an annual event providing exciting new work by local artists while bringing people into Carnation to enjoy the trails, restaurants and businesses in the area,” the foundation’s website says.
