Rosanne Patricia Zemp

March 25, 1943 – August 10, 2025

San Jose del Cabo, Mexico — Rosanne Patricia Zemp, loving mother, grandmother, and cherished pillar of the Snoqualmie Valley community, passed away peacefully in her home on August 10, 2025, surrounded by family.

Rosanne was born on March 25, 1943, in Seattle, Washington. She and her late husband, Richard John Zemp, both graduates of Mount Si High School, went on to become developers with a vision for growth and development of the Snoqualmie Valley and city of North Bend. Through their shared vision and dedication, they played instrumental roles in creating thousands of jobs—most notably through the development of the Mountain Valley Shopping Center at the I-90 interchange.

An avid animal lover, Rosanne’s heart extended to every creature — cats, dogs, horses, sheep, ducks, geese, llamas, peacocks, cows, and even a donkey at one point were amongst the many animals she and Dick had on their North Bend property.

Rosanne’s warmth radiated most bright when spent near family. She spent many years in Bothell, Washington, so she could be close to her grandchildren — babysitting, cheering them on at baseball games, making meals with love, and sharing bowls of ice cream, her favorite treat. Her visits to the Dallas area to be with her grandson Andrew were filled with love and laughter.

Most of all, she loved to travel and visited every continent except Antarctica. She even completed a 50-day cruise from Hong Kong, with ports of call in Thailand, Vietnam, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.

She leaves behind her two loving children:

• Bryan Rene Zemp (59) (spouse: Jill Zemp (Davidson (59)), and their children Christopher Richard Zemp (34), Kaitlyn Cheryl Zemp (30), and Jessica Lynn Zemp (27).

• Diana Zemp Eggers (55) (spouse: Timothy George Eggers (56)), and their son Andrew William Eggers (20).

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Richard John Zemp (65), and her son, Gregory Andrew Zemp (48). She joins her parents, William and Helen Ryba, and sister, Elaine Pieper (Ryba), in Heaven—along with her beloved chihuahua, Sammie. Upon her arrival to Heaven there was sure to be a big Polish polka party happening with her many aunts and uncles greeting her with love and hugs.

Rosanne is also fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, her sister-in-lawMargit Halverson (Zemp), and her brother-in-law William Pieper, all of whom were deeply touched by her generosity and loving spirit.
