The Remlinger Farms 2025 summer concert series, in partnership with Seattle Theatre Group, continues with THING music festival in an all-new format.
THING is described by Seattle Theatre Group (STG) as an “intimate, all-ages music festival.” This year, the event has a new look: rather than a multi-day festival, there will be a festival three Saturdays in August, each with a different lineup. Concertgoers can pick and choose which festivals they attend, allowing them to pick their own “thing.”
Big names for 2025 include Father John Misty, Orville Peck, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Roots and more.
THING 2025 was originally planned for four Saturdays in August. But STG canceled the Aug. 16 event, which was going to be a showcase of Latinx and Spanish-language artists, “in light of current events.”
“Community safety concerns have greatly reduced ticket sales, and the uncertainty about artists’ ability to secure the necessary visas has led to our decision,” according to a statement from STG. “We stand with our broader community and remain committed to prioritizing attendee and artist safety, and to ensure our events are a positive and memorable arts experience.”
