Who’s the best? Seeking bragging rights in Snoqualmie Valley Record reader poll
Published 1:35 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011
Will Snoqualmie’s Sean Abscher threepeat as top Valley cop?
The rest of the local force seems to be doing their duty just fine, but with the 2011 Best of the Valley competition underway, word at the station is that Abscher is again the favorite.
“He’s a Valley boy,” says department spokeswoman Becky Munson. “Everybody always knows he’s going to get it.”
Time will tell whether locals favor the defending champ over some dark horse from the Snoqualmie station or the sheriff’s substation in North Bend.
So, who do you like? Ballots for the Best of the Valley reader poll can be found in this week’s paper and on the Valley Record website. This is the final week that ballots will run in our paper edition. Contest results will be published March 30.
The competition is kind of a big deal. Locals submit their picks for the best of nearly everything that the Valley has to offer, from burgers to beauty salons, and we count the votes and proclaim a winner. This year’s contest is different from past years. We’ve combined some categories and added new community-minded ones, such as best ‘natural treasure’ and best organization. The idea: to make for a broader, better poll.
So vote for your favorite businesses, but don’t forget to cast your ballot for best teacher, council member, city employee or park.
After all, who doesn’t like a little bragging rights?
