Valley students make dean’s list at Oregon universities

Several students from the Snoqualmie Valley have made fall dean’s lists at two Oregon universities.

Vistoria Pinto of Carnation, a sophomore studying sociology, and Ryan Gillespie of Fall City, a sophomore studying business, made the dean’s list at the University of Portland. Portland students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible.

Oregon State University

Shanna L. Howland of North Bend, a freshman studying exercise and sport science, was named to the Scholastic Honor Roll for the fall semester at Oregon State University. She was among nearly 4,000 students to make the list. To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.
