Vote for a candidate who isn’t an embarrassment

Published 8:30 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016

I am embarrassed and sad that Donald Trump has gotten as far as he has in the Republican primary.

True, I am a liberal, and that colors my perceptions somewhat. But even so, the quality of language and thought I am seeing from Trump is remarkable, as opposed to the rest of the GOP candidates. It strikes me like fifth-grade playground language. Oh, and from a bully.

Please, people, America is the country that came from the beliefs and efforts of the founding fathers, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower, and all the others and all us voters.

This is like a bad dream, a joke, listening to the power drunk swagger language with nothing substantial to back it up. The most powerful nation on earth is quickly becoming the laughingstock of the world.

Please, look at what Donald Trump really represents and vote for anybody else. Let’s at least make choices that allow us to keep our pride.
