Snoqualmie Valley Athletic Association and Bendigo Properties, LLC, is proposing to develop an athletic complex on 11 acres along Boalch Avenue. The city of North Bend is taking public comments on the development agreement which will establish the rules of the project.

Citizens can share testimony at a public hearing of the Planning Commission, 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the City Hall Conference Room, 211 Main Avenue N.

The project proposes four outdoor soccer/baseball fields, and a 90,000 square-foot indoor athletic facility, to be developed in two phases. The site includes six parcels of land immediately south of Gardiner Creek and east of Bendigo Boulevard.

The draft development agreement is available on the city’s website, http://northbendwa.gov, under public notices.

The city has determined that this proposal will not be likely to have a significant adverse impact on the environment that can’t be mitigated; no environmental impact statement (EIS) is required.

The environmental checklist reviewed to reach this conclusion is available to review, upon request, at the offices of the North Bend Community and Economic Development Department at 126 E. Fourth St., North Bend.
