The public is invited to an informational meeting about the future Mount Teneriffe Trailhead project planned for Mount Si Road, 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 at the US Forest Service Conference Center, 902 SE North Bend Way, North Bend.
At the meeting, DNR staff will share more about the organization’s planned 118-stall parking lot and answer questions about the environmental review process and public comment period.
The proposed design includes preserved forested areas around the trailhead, additional evergreen trees and vegetation, and landscaped areas in the parking area to keep the natural character of the site, located in the Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area.
The public comment period started July 1 and runs through Sunday, July 24. All comments are due by 4:30 p.m. July 24.
The Mount Teneriffe Trailhead is a priority project from the recently adopted Snoqualmie Corridor Recreation Plan, released in early 2015. This plan is intended to guide DNR in developing and managing recreation for the next 10 to 15 years.
