Si View Park District plans open house Sept. 14 for comprehensive plan update

Si View Metropolitan Park District is creating a new system plan, also called a comprehensive plan, that will reflect community interests and establish long-term goals and priorities for land acquisition, facility development, programming and park management.

Park district staff are seeking input to learn how they are meeting the community’s current recreation needs, where to focus resources, and what the role of the district should be as a recreation provider.

To gather some of that feedback, the park district will host an open house, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Si View Community Center.

Community members are invited to drop in to share ideas and comments about recreation programming and park and trail improvements.

The park district is also hosting an online platform for feedback on the comprehensive plan.
