Letter: Parker is an excellent choice for hospital chief

Many thanks to the Board of Commissioners of Hospital District #4 (Dariel Norris, Joan Young, David Speikers, Gene Pollard and Emma Herron) for their naming Tom Parker as both the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Hospital District.

Mr. Parker is an outstanding choice as he has been the COO of the hospital for several years and knows intimately the organization and running of the district. At a salary of $220,000 a year, he is a bargain by covering both positions.

In the first few months of interim appointment he has shown already ways of saving thousands of dollars of our tax payer’s money. His reports at meetings are informative, thorough and he answers commissioners directions promptly.

We are looking forward to more concise and interesting board meetings.
